Making the Invisible Visible: What We Do at Praxia

At Praxia, we’ve built something a little different.

We’re not just a research lab. We’re a listening lab. A pattern-recognition lab. A lab that sits with real people in real time, especially in the moments where power shows up—and where harm often hides.

Our commitment is simple but serious: to help make the invisible visible.
We ask questions like:
– What does power feel like in a classroom?
– What gets lost in the chaos of an emergency room?
– What stories never make it into policy documents—but should have?

We study how power moves through everyday interactions—in classrooms, hospitals, homes, and institutions. Our work centers the voices of those most impacted by systems of harm, and we partner with communities to co-create tools for change.

Our Work Falls Into Three Core Areas:

1. Community-Led Research
We support families, educators, workers, and students to document their lived experiences through interviews, ethnography, and collective analysis. This work transforms isolated stories into patterns that reveal institutional neglect, abuse, or resilience.

2. Investigative Learning & Design
We develop frameworks and public learning tools that help people understand how power is performed and negotiated in daily life. Our design work includes multimedia storytelling, visual maps, and resource-building that invites critical reflection and courageous action.

3. Policy & Practice Accountability
We bridge lived experience with legal and institutional accountability. Through strategic reports, complaints, and relational advocacy, we work to interrupt cycles of harm and restore relational integrity in systems that too often ignore it.
